Bad Time For Bonzo: A Ronald Reagan Memorial On His 100th

It's Ronald Reagan's 100th birthday today, and while most conservatives are busy revising history and speaking in fetishistic abstractions, instead I thought I'd give The Gipper the tribute he deserves, an anthology of protest songs written about his bumbling and illicit presidency.

It seems that no president has had more protest songs than Reagan, and justly so, the laundry list of infractions during his presidency was ample outrage fodder (i.e., just Google "Ronald Reagan+" Iran-Contra, Libya, Lebanon, Grenada, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Osama Bin Laden, the Mujahideen, Saddam Hussein, Gaddafi, Khmer Rouge, Pol Pot, PATCO, Bitburg, Star Wars, the War On Drugs, crack epidemic, Trickle-Down, Reagonomics, taxes, Wall Street deregulation, Fairness Doctrine, homelessness, AIDS epidemic, Social Security, etc.)

It could also be argued that Ronald Reagan was perhaps the biggest influence on punk rock and hardcore in the 80s as nearly every band in the land had at least one song, if not whole albums, dedicated to berating him.

What I've culled here is just the tip of the iceberg, so I encourage you to post any omissions to the comments section.

Wonky? You can also listen to it here.
